Critical Race Theory is Now US Military Strategy?

We know the current administration has made “Diversity, Equity & Inclusion” training a required part of employment in all federal government departments and agencies. This activity is to support the goal of “equity” vs. equality.

While many of us disagree with that initiative and the whole concept, we didn’t think about it for our military.

How wrong we were.

It never occurred to most of us to consider what our military would be like if Marines, for example, were taught to assess their fellow marines’ trustworthiness or capability based on the color of their skin.

Aa a reminder, critical race theory teaches that America and its institutions are systemically racist, and some races are inherently oppressive and privileged while others are inherently oppressed and victimized. The oppressors are whites, the victims are everyone else.

Critical race theory makes race the prism through which all aspects of American life are viewed. It categorizes individuals into groups of oppressors and victims, and it’s a philosophy that’s infecting everything from politics to education, the workplace, and now the military.

Normally we would expect our military leaders to respect and perhaps even get in step with the Commander-In-Chief.

General Mark Milley, America’s top military officer as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, defended the teaching of critical race theory to Army cadets at West Point in his recent remarks to a Congressional Committee: “First of all, on the issue of critical race theory, et cetera, I’ll obviously have to get much smarter on whatever the theory is, but I do think it’s important, actually, for those of us in uniform to be open-minded and be widely read. The United States Military Academy is a university, and it is important that we train, and we understand, and I want to understand white rage, and I’m white.”

Milley’s remarks come on the heels of Admiral Michael Gilday, Chief of Naval Operations, placing one of today’s charlatan’s books on the Navy’s recommended reading list to facilitate the “growth and development” of sailors. That 2019 book by Ibram X Kendi is titled How to Be an Antiracist. In it he writes capitalism is essentially racist. In addition, Kendi writes: “The only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination. The only remedy to present discrimination is future discrimination.” In other words, the only way to end perceived discrimination is to systematically discriminate.

Critical race theory embraces this notion of unequal treatment. It is now supported by those who consider themselves ‘elite.’

It’s bad enough that this ‘poison’ has for years permeated our institutions of higher learning, recently bleeding into our K-12 schools, becoming part of some “woke” corporate CEO’s philosophy and now an integral part of the current federal administration’s ideology. Sadly, now these racist ideas are being taught to our troops.

Seriously, we should consider this a grave threat to our nation’s defense. We do not expect military leaders to buy into something that will negatively impact the basic objectives of the military, including building unit cohesion, high morale, good order and discipline, and esprit de corps. Teaching young troops to see their battle buddies, as well as their sergeants and officers, first and foremost through the lens of race accomplishes nothing positive. That statement obviously goes for everyone – but especially for our military personnel.

We expect the members of our military to see those beside them as fellow Americans and fellow soldiers, prepared to lay down their lives for each other and our country if necessary.

Which American soldiers will raise their hands and pledge an oath to ‘support and defend’ our Constitution if they’re taught it and the country are intrinsically racist?

I don’t care if in the back room the Joint Chiefs of Staff tell each other it’s just public, temporary lip service to a President and DoD Secretary who believes in this garbage.

But there’s some things worth publicly standing up and fighting for. Silence or lip service in this case by our top military brass is not only a sellout of the country’s basic tenets and principles, but it also flies in the face of the execution of military strategy and tactics carried out by units that are expected to operate in unison – on orders from a higher-ranking boss regardless of any race.

We don’t want any American to judge others based on the color of their skin. We especially don’t want that in our military.

“Implicit bias training” and “diversity, equity, and inclusion” seminars have no role in our military. Its role is to defend the whole country, not certain “tribes” therein.

Do we regress to the time when the military did discriminate – with separate units for blacks? Do we negate President Truman’s 1948 Executive Order ending a long-standing practice of segregating Black soldiers? Do we now return to discrimination?

What a pox this exercise is to the United States of America – the only super successful, multi-racial country in the world.

Critical race theory is racist. It certainly is not a successful military strategy.

It spells potential battlefield defeat as it wallows in its own by-gone, biased, discriminatory quagmire.

Have a great and prosperous week.

SPIDER Bites

As people in Cuba protest for freedom, Black Lives Matter posted a statement praising the communist regime there and blaming the U.S. for Cuba’s problems.

In case you were not convinced, the administration has invited the UN to investigate racism in the country. Wanna guess what that report will find?

The life of a solar panel is estimated at 20 years. However, once they start operating their efficiency drops in a linear fashion over time. Remember, the best solar panels at present, when new, are about 22% efficient relative to capturing and converting sunlight into electricity. CA closed its southern beaches last week after it dumped 17 million gallons of raw sewage into Santa Monica Bay – for lack of electricity because the State can’t generate enough to meet demand. Currently the State requires all power generating plants to use ‘green’ to generate 66% of the electrical output. And since CA has only one hydroelectric plant and won’t allow nuclear, it falls to solar and wind – which obviously can’t do the needed job. If Michigan, for example, had such requirements there would be little winter electricity during those short day, cloudy months. How about the “Green New Deal?” Are you ready?

Gee, the CDC released ‘guidance’ last week, indicating vaccinated teachers and students no longer must wear masks. It blows me away when some bureaucratic ‘expert’ formally announces what everyone knows is obvious. But that guidance didn’t register with NYC Mayor DeBlasio maintaining and Los Angeles County reinstating a requirement that kids – and everyone – wear masks indoors.

The NFL’s Washington Football Team reports it will not adopt the name “Warriors” or any other potentially ‘offensive’ name. Your heard it first here. I have an inside, ‘anonymous’ leaker, and a scoop. Expect the new 2022 team moniker to be “Transgenders.” It’s woke.

Scientists have developed tiny drones to find leaks in gas lines in cluttered, populated, indoor environments. Theses autonomous robots spread out initially but when one senses the presence of gas, they swarm – like fruit flies – to focus in on where the leak is occurring. It’s a major development in the application of artificial intelligence. Wild and crazy, great stuff.

Texas House Democrats flew to D.C. last week to sit out the last 26 days of a special session of the legislature there thereby removing the required quorum for the chamber to vote. They’re opposed to a new election bill being considered. Great photo opportunities as “heroes!” President Biden expressed support and encouragement by calling new election laws in general “voter suppression” and a return to Jim Crow. Voter ID is apparently among the ‘un-democratic’ provisions of the Texas bill – and others. Apparently making it ‘easier’ to vote w/o ID or verified signature is more important than election integrity. The Supreme Court recently upheld a similar AZ law, noting the DNC plaintiff had no example or exhibit of any citizen denied the vote. I wonder who’s paying the hotel bills for Texas reps not doing their elective jobs.

The inflation rate in COVID 2020 was 1.4%. Frankly, I’m surprised there was any at all. In half of 2021 it’s already 5.4%. Expect the Fed to step in soon with higher interest rates. The administration and Congress are feeding this insidious problem with printing and then spending money we/they don’t have.
